TRANSMED informs that - starting from today and until further notice - it intends to make available to its shippers specific arrangements in order to cope with possible System Critical Situations. The term “System Critical Situations” (or “SCS”) generally refers to any situation having a possible negative impact on the safe operation of the Italian gas network, as activated for for the Early Warning (“Pre-Allarme”), Alert (“Allarme”) or Emergency (“Emergenza”) levels of the Emergency Plan for the Italian natural gas system published by the Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition.
In the event of a SCS and for the duration of the same, shippers will have the possibility of accessing additional capacity for the transportation of gas quantities exceeding each shipper’s committed flow rate. TRANSMED will endeavour to provide such additional transportation service, subject to technical feasibility.
For this SCS additional capacity shipper wil pay to TRANSMED an additional monthly fee, expressed in USD, calculated at the end of the calendar month interested by SCS based on the following:
The above mentioned arrangement will be made available to all TRANSMED shippers, detailed as an addendum to the prevailing gas transportation agreement, under the heading of “Arrangements for the management of System Critical Situations”, to be signed between TRANSMED and each shipper that intends to adhere to that arrangement.
Please be informed that TRANSMED has reached an understanding with Trans Tunisian Pipeline Company S.p.A. whereby corresponding arrangements will be made available also on the Trans-Tunisian pipeline.
